BALMAIN Spring/Summer Collection 2014 is SICK!
The 80's are definitely back with La Maison Balmain. Olivier Rousteings, Designer for Balmain admits that he created the whole fabulous collection around Rihanna (Pop Star), inspired by a visit she made to his studio last year. This collection is fun, chick and Bold. Like he said "Rihanna is Boyish, strong and she is a new Icon. She mixes fashion with Music. And I think my collection is based around that".
It is surely a fun, relax and classic collection and Rihanna as the head of the campaign gives that fierce and glamorous look. "This time, Rousteing has dovetailed his homage to Azzedine's large checks and body-con floppy shirts into his own generation's enthusiasm for denim, sweatshirts, bomber jackets, and jumpsuits"(Vogue).
The criss-cross with gold chains added, pink bubble gum fabric, sharp shoulder, laces, high and thigh skirts, quilted leather, monochrome houndstooth and the navy blue denim just give back to life to the 80's look with a pinch of contemporary. You can be fierce, sexy and fun day/night with this collection.
